Selecting A Provider for a Referral

Close a referral by selecting a provider from submitted responses.

How do I select a provider for a referral?

To choose a provider from submitted responses:

  • Navigate to your Referrals dashboard.
  • Click on the referral you want to manage.
  • Open the Responses tab to view provider submissions.
  • Under the provider you'd like to work with, click Select Provider.
  • (Optional) Add a note to provide context or instructions.

Once selected, the provider will receive an automated notification that includes your contact information for next steps.

What happens after I select a provider?

  • The selected provider is notified via email.
  • Your contact details are included so they can follow up directly.
  • The referral status is updated in the system to reflect your selection.

Can I cancel a referral if no provider is selected or circumstances change?

Yes. If a provider is unavailable or the referral is no longer needed:

  • Open the referral’s Settings tab.
  • Click Cancel Referral.

This action will prevent further responses from providers and update the referral status to “Cancelled”.

Tips for Managing Referrals

  • Keep referral statuses updated to ensure clear communication with providers.
  • Use the optional note field to share relevant details or next steps.
  • Cancel referrals promptly if they’re no longer active to avoid confusion.
