Katie Plakos

Xenia is the ancient Greek concept of hospitality, connection, and welcome. Welcoming a therapist into your home and the bond with your child is intimate. Xenia represents the connection that supports early intervention goals.

Katie Plakos (she/her) is a speech language pathologist and founder of Xenia Speech. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music, and her master’s in speech language pathology at CU Boulder, where she is now a clinical faculty and intern supervisor. Katie’s specialties are caregiver coaching, early childhood speech and language development, autism spectrum disorder, and feeding/swallowing. Being from the Pacific Northwest, she would like to remind you, it's harder to ski and surf on the same day in Colorado.
