Kayley Goertzen
OT at RISE Occupational Therapy: sensory, fine/gross motor, self-help, regulation
About
Hello! I am passionate about working alongside families to empower and maximize their strengths and resources. I aim to provide family-centered, culturally responsive, and play-based services. I am neurodiversity affirming.
As an occupational therapist I address concerns related to fine motor and gross motor skills, self-care/adaptive skills, feeding, sensory-processing, postural stability, emotional regulation, and social skills through a variety of play and life activities. I have experience working with clients with ASD, sensory processing differences, behavioral concerns, low-vision, feeding difficulties, communication differences, genetic syndromes, muscular weaknesses, and developmental delays. I speak conversational Spanish, baby/toddler sign language, and am comfortable working with an interpreter for any language.
Education:
- Bachelor's in Psychology with certificates in Neuroscience and Human Needs and Global Resources.
- Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy; thesis assessed parental play skills of Spanish-speaking parents in Colorado.
