Mandy McLane

I am inspired every single day by so many beautiful souls who work hard to improve themselves. For everyone who pushes forward when no one is watching, I see you and I appreciate you.

From an early age, I thrived on challenge, competition, and growth. My athletic journey began at age five with competitive swimming, continued through high school, and earned me a track and field scholarship at Clemson University. Competing as both a pole vaulter and a heptathlete fueled my love for athletics and shaped me into a driven, motivated woman.

In 2004, I founded Freedom of Speech, LLC—a speech and language therapy practice dedicated to helping children and adults find their voices. Building the company demanded dedication and resilience, and in those early years, the gym became my sanctuary. Training offered balance, stress relief, and discipline, eventually sparking a new athletic pursuit.

By 2008, I rediscovered competition through triathlon, a sport that revealed both raw talent and deep passion. A year later, I committed to my lifelong dream of becoming a professional athlete, and in 2011, I raced my first season as a professional triathlete. That milestone blended two worlds I love: sport and personal growth.

Today, I am proud to balance multiple roles—speech-language pathologist, entrepreneur, coach, wife, and mother of two. Freedom of Speech now serves families across Boulder County, including Longmont, Boulder, Lafayette, Superior, Erie, and Broomfield. Though I’ve retired from professional triathlon, I continue to pursue athletics through competitive beach volleyball. Each role has sharpened my skills as a communicator, leader, and teammate, teaching me lessons about resilience, balance, and purpose.

I have been fortunate to receive unwavering support from family, friends, and mentors. Along the way, I’ve learned that success is forged through trials, belief fuels achievement, and life is best lived to its fullest. We are each the author of our own story—mine is still unfolding, and I embrace every chapter with gratitude and determination.
