Stacey Barnes
Speech Language Pathologist with 20 years of Early Intervention Experience
About
Hi, my name is Stacey Barnes, and I have been an SLP for 20 years. I have worked in Early Intervention for most of my career and truly enjoy working with caregivers and their children in their homes. Although I love everything to do with Speech Language Pathology, I am most passionate about supporting infants and toddlers with feeding challenges, cleft lip/palate, and speech and language delays. I have completed SOFFI and SOS certifications but use a large variety of approaches and strategies to support successful mealtimes. I think eating should be fun for everyone at the table and my ultimate goal is for kids to be excited about food and be safe while trying new things. I was born with a cleft palate and have a lot of personal experience with surgical repairs and speech therapy from a client's perspective. I hold a special place in my heart for kids with cranial facial differences. On a personal note, I have two kids of my own, one attending college at Oklahoma State University and the other in high school at Broomfield. We like to keep ourselves busy with high school sports and family gatherings.
