Dominique Gbedey
Dominique Gbedey, MS, CCC-SLP
About
Dominique Gbedey (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist at EMME. She earned a Master of Science from Florida State University in 2022 and went on to earn her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) in 2023. Dominique brings experience in the private practice setting with children in Florida to the EMME team.
Dominique has always wanted to work in a field where she helps others, especially children. Growing up in a family where both of her parents were immigrants, she got to see up close the power and beauty of community! Dominique loves being a professional member of the family communities she supports.
Seeing things “click” and watching communication flourish between a child and their family is what brings Dominique most joy in this work. Her philosophy can be summed up in the following phrase: know better, try to do better. While she always aims to inform and share knowledge where she can, she is a strong believer that no one is an expert in everything. She is always hoping to learn more from those around her.
In her free time, Dominique can be found in Florida with her wonderful husband. She considers her primary hobby to be collecting hobbies! Currently she is really into punch needle embroidery and coloring. She also really enjoys reading thrillers, romance and fantasy genres.
